Old Chicago

Now, I’m not typically the biggest fan of a deep dish pizza, but this one is simply different. I also must preface that I’ve never been to Chicago and tried authentic deep dish pizza from the deep dish pizza capital of the world, but I do still love this little restaurant

My friends and I always ordered a medium plain cheese pizza, which is more than enough for four of us to share. It comes with the classic deep dish crust, a layer of sauce, a THICK layer of cheese, and more sauce on top.

If you have read some of my previous pizza reviews, it might seem like this would be too much sauce for someone like me, but with the ratio of crust and cheese, it’s basically just like three slices of pizza stacked on top of each other.

Obviously, the crust is what makes this pizza so special. It takes around 45 minutes to cook, so hot tip: we always order right when we sit down. The crust stays super soft on the inside and the bottom, but crunchy on the top.

Old Chicago definitely makes some of the best deep dish pizza in Sonoma County and it makes me eager to try authentic Chicago-style deep dish one day!
