Home SF

During my senior year of high school, my friends and I made it a point to make the hour-long drive to San Fransisco and try new restaurants each weekend. Home SF was one of the cafes that was at the top of our list because of the trendy atmosphere and rainbow lattes.

Their menu consists of fancy coffees and teas and elaborate avocado toasts. As you can see in the image above, they also specialize in latte art. Because I don’t drink coffee or eat avocado, I ordered an affogato. I know that this is an odd thing to order at a cafe in the middle of the morning, but it truly was the only thing I liked on the menu.

I don’t like waffle cones, so I took it off, but the ice cream and coffee was delicious. The vanilla ice cream was super creamy and the coffee tasted super fresh.

Don’t get me wrong – the affogato was delicious. But my overall rating for Home SF as a whole has to do with the lack of options for picky eaters like me. This place is too hyped up for the latte art and over-the-top toasts that forget about having basic options that are just as yummy.

Overall rating: 5/10
