From made-up magazines to novels about my second grade dreams, I have been writing and designing for as long as I can remember. I came into college (like most other students) not really knowing what I was doing. I loved people and I loved learning about different social topics, so I became a sociology major. I loved all of the courses that I took, but I never really found a passion for sociology, so I began diving into different minors that are offered at UCSB, and I found UCSB’s Professional Writing Minor.

I have been working as the social media coordinator for Adulting101 for over a year now, and it really pushed me to apply for the multimedia track of the minor. I have learned a great deal about design, trend forecasting, and social media from this position. My abilities have only been emphasized by the Professional Writing Minor and I have learned so much more about website design and brand building.
